Business Development Representative

Papercurve is a cloud software company that simplifies promotional reviews for Life Science companies (Pharma, Medical Devices and Biotechnology).  Our software is designed to bring control and transparency to content review and maintain consistency with partners and subsidiaries.

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our growing team.  Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

How You Will Make An Impact

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas.  You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal.  You will also ensure proper after-sales service.  If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. Please note that this is a work from home/anywhere position.  We will provide you with training on all aspects of the position and will fund educational and skills development that is relevant to being successful in the role.


  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between qualified leads and Account Executives
  • Report to the Chief Operating Officer on quarterly sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans


  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (we use Hubspot) is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Experience with LinkedIn and Sales Navigator is a plus
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
